Alright most of you guys saw my build thread its on page 3 in FI.....Im running M&W pro 10 with the T1 harness and the instructions say I dont need to wire anything to make the tach work but its NOT working. We tried taking the small blue wire from the M&W harness and tapping into the factory tach and dizzy....no good? Ive got 2 aem tuners that were supposed to get back to me with an answer and no call back. If someone could help us we'd really appreciate it. Btw, im running the aem 1020 box 1998 integra dc2 chassis.

As in tach in the cluster?

Take the #4 wire on the M&W and tee into the blue wire on the cluster for the tach output.

 

Tried that does not work....

 

You can drive the factory tach straight from the AEM EMS. I have done it in several cars using individual inductive coils.

 

You can use the tach output from the AEM. Run the wire from C26 OBD2a to the blue wire on the tach/dash.

 

so....i wired from c26 to the blue signal wire on the back of the instrument cluster like instructed and still no working tach? Then i finally spoke to an aem tuner and he said I have to set up the parameters in the ecu in advanced tach/speedo setup and made 2 adjustments and still no working tach???!!

 

i have the same issues. im using the factory tach. i havent done this yet... but i was told that its the yellow wire w/ grn that you tap into on the obd2 dizzy plug. or maybe its the green wire yellow stripe.

nm just tried this and it didnt work...

 

I sent my tuner my map so maybe he can figure out how to set it up in the aem. He said that c26 pin wont necessarily drive the factory tach just simply wiring it up. It needed to be setup in aem to work properly. Funny thing is with no setup, just sticking my wire from c26 in the back of the cluster with factory wire still pinned....i got the tach to jump a few times but nothing consistent. This problem is driving me nuts! How can ppl sell these boxes and not tell us how to set up our tachs?
