Default vtec question

I've been hunting around for knowledge about vtecs and I came across SOHC vtecs. More importantly, D15 Honda Vtecs in Egs 91-95. Ferio VTi mind you. My question is this. Whats makes the VTis SOHC different from a simple D15 from say my LX, with the exception of the Vtec part and can my little ole D15 be made to use the VTi Vtec?

before you get flamed out of existance look at the top of the forum for the "search" section. Theres a lot you need to learn. Hit up the FAQ section as well. otherwise I'm gonna pull up a chair and watch the hate mail roll in...

props for the correct spelling of VTEC in such a noobish post!

it's true what MHDesigns said, folks are going to be too distracted with the flaming to give you any good info. most of this can be found easily and pain free with the Search function.

(...and yes, a non-VTEC motor can be converted by swaping the head and ECU primarily. other things like wiring and oil supply modification may be needed as well. this is called a mini-me swap...)

can you tell though he is from another country? OP where is you from?
VTIs are like d16y8s. are you talking about using a VTI vtec head on a d15? this is called a minime and in the FAQ section there are writeups on it. cheers

Thanks MH, Red, iliv, and rick. I'll hunt more diligently next time. As for 2000fukstick up there, kiss a used douchebag ya jerk. What a useless freaking post. At least everyone else gave a little direction. You're just a freaking *** hat. The point of asking questions is because you may not know. Being a newbie (proper for the occasion) isn't bad it just says you freakin NEW!!!

by the by mod please lock this. Pertinent information was obtained.
