i think i need a different ecu
so i posted before that i did a b18b2 to b20b4 swap and in low rpm's i have no power. i think i need a different ecu. no one replied to my last post. i was told that i could use the same ecu for the b20 but it seems to me that the fule to air ratios should be different between a 1.8 and a 2 litre. so do i need the p3f ecu from the cr-v? and if so i do not believe the the hook ups are the same froma p75 and a p3f. i need help to get my car running right.
I think its something else. My friend has used a p75 on a b20b, and ran pretty good. Are there any CEL? IMO i think its a sensor problem, if not the motor could be bad. Is it only in low rpm's or high rpm's too?
there isnt a check engine light. the power loss is mostly low end but the top end doesnt seem as fast as it should. im not too sure if the topend has lost power. what sensor could it be? the engine sounds healthy and it doesnt smoke out the muffler. i have messed with the timing and pretty much got it to the point where it feels the best. vacume leaks are all fixed. i am out of idea's except for the ecu.how do i start testin for the problem?
I'm unsure about testing the ecu, but i have heard that a clogged fuel filter could be a culprit, but cant confirm it myself. If not you could always test out another ecu, or maybe even a chipped one.
my fuel filter is only a couple months old, i can run a fuel system cleaning and see if that helps, i am also missing my idle screw, but it seems as if the kindof bogging my car is doing would not be caused by the missing screw, but assuming the ecu is right what else should i check?
if you have a vacuum leak that can cause to to lack power and bog down.. Isn't there a sealing o-ring on that booger??( SAS screw) or are you referring to the throttle stop screw??
