Default B20b High HC? whats the cause?

Hey heres the deal; 90 CRX Si, JDM B20b, YS1 trans yadda yadda... I failed emissions, bc of high side of the HC (ppm) i need to cut it down to like 220 from 598. i searched and it seems i may be not burning all the fuel, my other mechanic says that its a vacuum thing? Any input? Oh and i am running a chipped p28 obd1 computer (stock ls chip, i know bc i ordered this specifically) with no charcoal canister....

the vacuum lines that i am wanting to know about i beleive both used to go to the charcoal filter (top of Tb and far right of the back in IM) but since i tossed it they are simply capped off.... and could the iacv cause this HC increase if it is bad?

Could be that you are running lean. You have a map for a 1.8 on there when your engine is 2.0.

Causes of high HC could come from unburned fuel or running rich. Also if oil in leaking into the combustion chamber could cause this. I would suggest changing out the o2 sensor, or change oil if it hasent been done.

thanks.... i will try changing the oil, since the motor has only been started up and driven a max of 30 miles lol and the same start up oil is still in it, so that may too have something to do with it and ill change the o2 and try running it a little harder since i normally baby it

Bah... I was thinking CO not HC.
Could be a weak spark, or, as ek-g6 said, the O2.
