Default question about Helms manual

I think this is the manual you guys swear by, but Im wondering if the ITR has its own Helms? or do you use a Helms for all Integras and it also covers the ITR? I dont wanna buy an Integra Helms if it doesnt cover the ITR. Time to start doing my own ****, labor costs are killing me. Thanks

I need to know the same thing.

I need a Helms for 1997 Integras and the ITR supplement, which I was told is available. Is this correct?

The service manual I bought from the Acura dealer covers all Integra models. Whenever there is a difference in assembly between models, they separate the information.

Helm, don't leave home without it

The website should list all available manuals for any given model.

http://www.helminc.com

But, if you must know, I have a 1995 manual which covers all trim levels, and then I also have the 1997 ITR supplement, which should be paired with the 1996 Integra manual and 1997 Integra supplement to get the whole package.

Is the Acura "service manual" you are talking about different from the Helms manual? or is the acura manual a helms manual?

Yeah, I just got mine, and I'm not sure how I managed without it. It definately covers the B18C5.

So what exactly is the addendum? I keep hearing that it doesn't have any critical info..

I never saw a Helm manual to compare with, but from what I read here and there, they are the same book. I bought mine from Acura because it was easier for me.

OK. Supplement to first post.

I looked through the online catalog, and it seems that only the '97 ITR MY needs a supplemental manual. The '98 and '00 and '01 MY ITR's seem to be included into one big phat Integra encyclopedia according to each model year.

The addendum I got with my 98 manual were mostly to correct misprints. If you have a later edition, the corrections were probably already made.

Some dealers won't sell you the manual

IN VTEC (or anyone else with the ITR supplement)- How much was the ITR supplement? Did you find any value above and beyond what is in the integra service manual?

EDIT: Nevermind. Finished reading all the posts and got my answer.

Duh. to me.

Okay, I found part the manual on their site, but do I need the supplement for the 2000 model year? I'd rather save the $38

If I scanned in all of my '95 manual and '97 ITR manual, what size images would be the most appropriate for people?

I've scanned in pages before and a lot of times I can't read the text if I downsize them to a 640 pixel width.

A '95 manual will cover a lot of stuff, as will the '97 ITR supp. I just need a '98+ manual for all the extra stuff they changed.

No need to get the 2000 supplement. (Though, I had to to figure out the newer 2000+ ITR pinouts.)

IN VTEC, Any chance that you can post these scans in PDF format? This is the format used for Adobe Acrobat and has been used for the 90-93 Integra Helm manual. Here's a link to what I'm talking about : http://blackteg0.tripod.com/g2integra/id2.html

Helm just publishes service manuals for various auto manufacturers.
