I have a 02 tl type-s and just changed the front brake pads on it. I took it out on a test ride and noticed a sound coming from the driver side, it sounded like something was touching or coming in contact with rotor. Stopped and got out side also noticed a burning smell coming from the driver side. I touched the rim was it was very very hot and then checked passsenger one was fine. i then took the tire and then caliper off,everything seems to be in tacked, i also checked the shims to see if it was touching the rotor. What could be causing this problem??? Also i tested to see if the caliper piston was moving and that seemed fine. Any suggestions on how to hanlde this problem???

 

frozen piston? lift up the front of the car. put it in neutral and spin the tires by hand. if its spins freely, have some one step on the brakes while ur spinning it. tell u friend to let go of the brakes and make sure it still spins freely
