Hey guys i have a D15B non vtec motor on 96 Civic Dx.

I was wondering is the knock sensor the only thing i have to put on it to make it "carb" legal in the US? and yes there was an OBD2 D15B:

96 + Civic CX
96 + Civic DX
96 + Civic LX

D15B 1493cc
4 cyl, 16 valve SOHC
9.4:1 c.r.
PGM-FI (MPFI)
106 bhp @ 6200
103 lb-ft @ 4600
Redline: 7100 rpm

What do you consider carb legal? Are you trying to pass the ref?

 

I think you'll fail visual inspection, but unsure if smog station where you are at is big on inspecting the motor stamp, but you;ll need all of your emission parts, purge valve, cat converter, stock intake, and etc...

 

yes sir. i want my motor to be able to pass smog and what not.

and how will my engine not be able to pass the visual?

Over here, smog stations check the engine stamp, and if it dosent match their book, you get a fail, but thats just over here.

 

well, then how can be when theres people that BAR there ITR motors?

2kgs-R has a smog legal ITR.
