Icon6 2000 ex trans swap

ok so my 00 ex turbo auto is done and looking good, and the only thing left to do is un-disgustify the hole car by swappind this POS CVT trans for a manual.

never done this b4...

its a 2000 d16y8, i found a guy who will sell me a trans, all three pedals, new clutch/flywheel/pressure plate, shift linkage and short shifter and master and slave cylinder all for $400.

however its out of a 1995 si, he says it will fit, but i d/k for sure

so will it fit or should i keep looking, sounds like a deal to me, any tips before i take on this job, any good write ups.... any positive input would be greatly appreciated

Yes, it will fit. I used a 92-95 series tranny in my 97 sedan before.

Yeah it will fit.. about two months ago i converted my gf's hatch from auto to manual and i used 2000 civic pedals clutch master cylinder and lines and it all matched up great... Just make sure you get all the cotter pins that go on the brake and clutch pedal rods... also get a manual throttle cable and ecu... you'll be set...

ok today i picked up a trans, all shift linkage and shifter, clutch flywheel, manual ecu, slave and master cylinder and manual throttle cable, trans has upper mount bracket also attached, what else do i need, do i really need a new intake manifold and tb? i hope not, also i dont need a new wiring harness do i?

ive seen trans swaps done on other cars (240s) and worse case senario u just have to hack a sensor or two,

Yes, you will have to change the intake manifold and throttle body, you will also need a 2 wire IACV. There are many write ups on here on how to do the wiring, it's very straight forward if you’re not retarded.
