Default Injector Sizing Help

posted this in the ECU Tuning but I think I would get more views/replies here.

Mildly built all-motor ls/vtec.

11:1 arias pistons
bored.10 over
b16a2 head ported and polished
ctr cams
oversized valves
itr intake manifold and jdm itr exhaust manifold
320 rc injectors
hondata s200 w/ p28
fuel pressure @60psi
walbro fuel pump

so my set up was tuned to get me through emissions and made 182hp 138ft/lbs. Car passed emissions but I wanted to get a better performance minded tune but the tuner said that my injectors were at 85% duty cycle and he did not feel comfortable playing too much with ignition maps until I upgraded to bigger injectors. he suggested I upgrade to DSM 450cc injectors and that would let me bring down the fuel pressure and also alway more room to play with the ignition tables.

Other people that I have talked to think that the 320cc should be plenty and that I should NOT upgrade injectors.

I have seen plenty of threads where 320s should be good up to 220whp...that is why I went with them.

any advice on who or what to follow or listen to?

I wish they would take that feature out of Crome. 310s are fine for what you have.

You should have more than enough fuel for your setup.

320 cc/min = 30.4 lb/hr

30.4 x 4 = 121.60 lb/hr

121.6 / .47 (rich BSFC figure) = 258.72 crank horsepower

If your base pressure is already at 60 psi, your injectors are actually flowing 35.1 lb/hr:

35.1 x 4 = 140.4 lb/hr

140.4 / .47 (BSFC) = 298.72 crank horsepower
