General Rsx-s Questions
Just a couple of questions,
If you dont have anything good to say, Please dont contribute.
Does anyone put anything lower than Premium gas?
How much does it hurt you car in the long run?
and
What other regular maintence tips are there to keep the car running good.

the lowest i have ever put in my car has been midgrade just cause i was tight on money. and just being honest i dont know about the long term effects but like you i would like to know
you need to run at least 91 in yer car, it prevents your car from knocking, the cars stock ecu does have a map for correcting knock but typically can not remedy the issue when a lower octane fuel is used. this can cause dentionation which can and will destory your engine, granted it may take some time to do this on a stock unmodified engine, but one one with a few mods designed to lean out the balance a little, it could speed up the process. first symptoms would be a rough running engine, burning excessive oil, smokeyexhaust, hard idle, and multiple dummy lights coming on. long term use of low octane fuel is a bad idea. using it once to get your car to the gas station because u ran outa gas, should be fine. there is a reason honda sugest a fuel type to be used with their vehicles, high compresion super reving engines need it.
as far a simple maintince, always check your oil, use stock replacement sparkplugs from denso or ngk, replacing a dirty air filter is always good, remember there is a cabin filter on the rsx, due for changing every 10-15k, make sure coolant levels are good and coolant looks clean. also be sure that your powersteering reservoir is full as well as your clutch and brake master cylinder, please note hondas use special power steering fluid. check your serpentine belt for any cracks or odd wear or burns you should be good to go. oh and remember change your tranny fluid every 10-15k ( use royal purple syncromax or gm syncromesh if you are having grinding issues or if you dont and just want extra protection. )

The RSX is actually tuned from the factory to run on 87. Unless you are running boost, there is no reason to run anything higher than 87. As for maintenance, change your oil as follow the owner's manual
Let me correct myself. The RSX base can run on 87, which is in the manual. On our Type-S' like I said if you are stock or near stock I think 87 will be fine but if you have the money go with 89 or 91.
