Default alarms....

ok so i have a civic hatch it has a python alarm in it and it never really worked right it had the power unlocks from remote but never worked. and the alarm is probably a good 6 years old or more. i am wondering people opinions? get a new one? or get this one fixed? if get a new one what kind i want something loud and works good. not super sensitive but something that will go off if im backed into say so.

Clifford or Viper
2-way paging
Backup Battery
Proximity Sensor (ditch the vibration sensor, they are junk)
Professional install
