Can bad axle cause alignment problems?
So I've got a cracked boot on the drivers side axle. It's been like that for a couple of years, so I was just going to leave it until it got bad enough that I had to replace it. A while ago the axle started making noise, but only when I accelerate during a turn. If I'm driving straight or I don't accelerate or make tight turns, it doesn't make any noise. (It's kind of a clicking sound)
It's also out of alignment, it pulls to the right a little bit. So could the axle going out cause it to go out of alignment. I wouldn't think so since it's just the axle is out of lubrication now so it's starting to grind a little bit, right? I wouldn't think it would pull in or out or anything that would cause it to go out of alignment, but I could be wrong. Anyway, any help would be great.
