ive got a 1991 EF sedan. i wanna order some rims for it, wide ones, what size could i get away with without having to roll the fenders? btw its lowerd and id wanna keep it low. pics

Why do you want wide rims?
If you're looking for performance, the way to achieve it is by getting stickier tires, not wide rims. For example, on your car, you can get better traction by getting the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 or Toyo R1R, both in size 195/50-15. That size can be mounted on wheels 5.5-7.0 inches wide.

he probably wants/likes the wide stance. i agree that the wide stance looks good and stickier tires will work just as good performance wise, if not better than just going wide. the wide stance would look great on 4dr man.
How do you know? Is he a friend of yours, and have you discussed this with him? If not, please don't try to speak for someone else. He can answer for himself.

BTW, wide rims don't give a "wide stance".
Wide tires do - but wider tires also often rub on the wheel wells (especially on a lowered car) and often reduce your rate of acceleration. Which is why it's important FIRST to choose the proper size tires for your car, and THEN wheels whose size is okay for that tire size.
Sheesh...

i ran work rs betas 16x7 +26 offset. fit flushed without rolling fenders.. if u exceed +26 you may have to roll the fenders. i also had enkei 92 15x7 +20, i had to roll the fenders. dont go too wide unless you plan on getting some sick a$$ wheels
well i really like the deep lip look. id roll my fenders but i dont have the tool nor do i know of a shop here in ALASKA who does that. i should look around my local shops. but mainly what i want are some above the average lip rims. up here its jus the usual 1"-2" lip. i wanna go wide. jus wanna get afew recomened sizes so when i go and buy new rims id know what to get.
in a sentence-
does anyone have a recommend wheel/ tire size for a "wide" look on my lowered EF sedan?

195/45-16 and you can use widths of 6.5-7.5" on the wheels
205/40-16 and you can use widths of 7.0-8.0" on the wheels
You won't be able to use tire sizes wider than these (especially since your car is lowered), and you can't safely mount these tire sizes on wheels wider than these. Period.
If you are looking for a wider "look" you may want to choose wheels whose spoke design gives that look.
Offset alone does not determine what will fit and what won't. For example, your 15x7 +20 may not have "fit," but a 15x6 +20 would have. Width doesn't mean anything without offset, and vice versa or however you say that lol!
I know exactly what he means.... wide shiny lip Take a look at this post for a pic. It is a guy on here who goes by mitch...

His wheel / tire combo have a deep lip but do not necissarily make the wheels wider.. Here is the setup on the blue hatch.
Front
16" x 8" +20 offset 205/40/16
Rear
16" x 8" +15 offset 205/40/16
According to mitch he did not have camber or any rub and did not roll the fenders with this setup and his car was slammed

i said listen to toyomatt84.. if you wanna go wider rims.. mean lower offset.. it will look nice but man.. its a headache to fit in a FWD. and talk about spending money on tires every 6-8 month.. and another.. cant really daily drive your ride..
