Code 8, And Maxed Adjustment Dizzy Problem
Car is a 87 Civic Si, converted to OBD0, running a Rywire OBD0-1 Jumper, Chipped ECU for a LS, OBD1 distrubitor.
Starts and runs good, throws a code 8(TDC) after a few seconds of running.
Problem 2 is the Timing, the dizzy is maxed out backwards, and i can just bairly get it on the red hash on the crank pully. So its sitting on 15-16*.
Head is shaved .010", Block is decked .012", for a total of .022" which should be a little over 1* retard at the cams. Not enough for me to care or the computer to freak out IMO.
The cam timing looks dead on to me. Unless that notch in the middle isnt the Timing alignment mark.

Did u try to set tdc by putting something in the number 1 cylinder and see if it lines up with the crank mark? i usually do this or set it b4 i slap on the head.
I did flip the TDC wires, it starts but doesnt want to.
I tried another dizzy but i cant remember if it threw the TDC or not. I know it threw a Code 9 and i marked it as bad. Ill have to swap it again last night and see if it does TDC.
From the research ive found on here, it seems like the TDC is caused by either bad wiring, or just a worn out distrubitor, bearing or other.

Because i was asked to.
Exactly! there is no issue here, its an issue of honda between obd0, obd1, and dpfi obd1 all being different. Please let everyone know it is not my fault, and only the installer not being familiar with honda ecu pinouts

If you trace them out, CYP(B11/12) goes to Crank Angle(15/16), and vice versa, which looking at other known working jumper harness's. Is the same way. Idk if thats just how it ends up being to work or what.
The final solution for it running without code was to flip the Blue/Yellow and Blue/Green, which i guess ive got mixxed up on colors when i built the harness, so its probably not yours, and its the stupid progression of colors between Pre-OBD, OBD0 and OBD1.
The car is a 87 Civic, so i had to first convert it to OBD0 from Pre-OBD, then i used your harness to convert to OBD1.

what kind of timing light are you using? if you are using a digital light where you preset the timing into the light, say set it to 16 degrees, you need to be checking the timing with the TDC mark, which is the white mark to the right of the 3 marks - if you try to set it with the red mark, you are actually at 32 degrees BTDC as you already have 16 degrees of advance in the light
