Help please. H3 or FSP for me???
Well I cant deciede wether I want to go all out racing (honda Challenge style) with the accord and get something else for a daily driver and autocross, or Pick through all the scca rules and prepare one mean fsp machine, and get something else for wheel to wheel racing (mabee spec miata or rx7). And as you all know this is the time of the year that all the dealers are offering great financing for last years new cars. I dont want a poll just your open opinions of what to do. Where would you rather see an accord in the Honda Challenge or at the soloII nationals?
ECHC...give Morgan some competition.
BTW, they are re-evaluting groupings I think, and will be moving the 4th gen Accord down to H4 or H5. Because H3, it would get murdered by GS-R's.

definately at the SoloII national but you'd better be one hell of a driver.
whipping an RX around a track rocks. 50/50 wieght distribution owns...

why cant you build it for both? i mean, in the scca rules if you build a car to IT specs, then you run in FSP for autocross. im sure the rules for the HC are similar to those of building for scca club racing.
All the cars in ECHC are gutted....he would be severly mismatched if he is not gutted.

but exaccord is right. I can gut and build the car to IT rules which include a .40 overbore and other engine goodies, and still be able to run the car in my respective autocross class, fsp. Then I can also run the car in the H-C, but I dont know what class. IT cars seem to not do very well in autocross for some reason though? Oh well now to look at the IT rules.

what class do swapped cars run in?
then, you would have to run a Modified class in autocross because you would be swapped+gutted.

If you overbore, you would be in H1 I think...where you would get your **** handed to you on a tampon.
Swapped cars go in H1.
i dont see any reason why a built hybrid accord cant run w/ a built hybrid hb.
but damn, with a .907 pax, I wouldnt see more than 5 points an event.
edit: currently fsp .815 ,. This means on course If I run a 50.000 (=40.750) in the IT/FSP car I would have to run faster than a 45.000 (=40.815) in the EM car.

Swapped cars go in H1. ok, so you build a swapped car. build it to H1 specs. then at autocross you will have to run E modified.

In hindsight, anything is possible because I'm sure you can get the Accord down to what Corey's lude weighs and with the added torque of an H22, miracles are possible.
And if I build a hybrid to the scca EP rules it would not be elgible for the honda challenge. And if build it to honda challenge H1 rules I dont think it would do very well any place else.
Dude, honda challenge... There is NOTHING like wheel to wheel racing... You are good enough, and I am sure the accord will be bumped down some classes for 2003... Cage it, gut it, and your good to go.. Honda-challenge is more about fun, than it is winning.. Getting out there and running with 30 other honda's from all different speeds, its a feeling that CANNOT be matched with any autox....
Now, which accord will make it to honda-challenge first, you, morgan, or steve?
