i would try switching the 2 white wires at the distriutor around, if not that check the ground for the starter ,its a wire coming from the harness that should be bolted down by the starter with a 10mm bolt.

Did you flip around the white wires on the distributor?

Also try another Distributor, or check to see if the rotor inside is loose or the screw is loose.

why not just try?

take the belt off, put everything in time (crank cam and dizzy)

put pistons 1 and 4 at the top of the stroke

just make sure.... why not? could solve your problem. hondas jump time somtimes.

yes one of the wires is a ground but off the top of my head i'm not sure which one. all you needed to do though was swap the outer two wires on the tps.

on the TPS, the green/white wire is the ground

really high idle could be a vacuum leak or could be problem with throttle cable

also could be your eiacv( electronical idle air control vavle) its located on the back of your intake.
ive heard a lot of complints from people after doing something it idles wrong and 90% of the time it ends up being the eiacv.

check that out redo your idle and see if taht fixes it. if your not sure how pm me and ill explain it step by step
