- I have a '94 Accord LX 4DR sold in '93 and the steering wheel is turning to crap..
I found a perfectly good one in the junk yard but I dont know from what year car it came from.
I heard that the different years of the 5th gen have different sizes or something.
How would i know this one fits without having to take everything out first?

 

You won't really. If it's a 97 wheel it probably won't fit. If it's a 95 it might fit. There's apparently 2 different column sizes. It's been confirmed that some of the earlier ones have the larger size of the 96/97 but it's also been confirmed some don't haha.

 

That sucks.. And no one has ever taken the chance to check the sizes? haha. I dont want to be the 1st..

If i do do it.. I just want to know if there is anything i have to worry about when it comes to alignment?

There's a pretty in depth thread on it on HondaSociety. Originally all the 94/95 were thought to have a smaller column size than 96/97. Which is why NRG setups didn't work and S2000 wheels only fit on the later models. But recently (within th epast year or so) some users posted up having installed S2000 wheels on their 94/95 Accords.

As to the installation and removal I believe the thread by weaksauce has decent details for a civic, which is close enough to the Accord to follow it - it's what I used when I did my Nardi wheel.

 

would this tell you anything about the steering wheel? haha
