Honda Accord for a daily driver?
So at this time I'm looking for a comfortable and fuel efficient daily driver. I have a budget of staying below $6,000 and was wondering if an Accord is a good selection? I have been looking at Civics too. What kind of MPG do Accords get? Are they cheap to maintain? Do they last forever? Is it okay to get a 150k+ mileage car? etc etc.

I have a 01 accord ex (5 spd) and it's a great daily driver. I get roughly 27 mpg on average city and highway combined, sometimes more. ( depending on how much highway driving I do) the only maintenance I've had to do since I purchased it a year ago has been oil changes. It has 170k miles on it and runs like it's brand new(knock on wood) you can usually find one for around 5 to 6 thousand depending on what it has with it(sunroof etc.) I would seriously consider an accord over a civic if you want a little more room also

Re: Honda Accord for a daily driver?
My girlfriend recently bought a 93 Accord EX (upon persuasion from me) as a daily. It had 260K on it, and still runs like a top. It only needed an O2 sensor and a valve cover gasket.
I had one as my first car that had 160K.
They are just fantastic cars. Bulletproof motors, comfy interiors, relatively fuel efficient (28-30mpg). Very cheap to maintain, and if you get an EX, you shouldn't expect to pay more than $2800-3500. The EX's have power doors, windows, and moonroof, as well as A/C and P/S.
My cousin had a 91, and he treated it like it had the ****ing plague. It still lasted him till 360K until the motor gave out.
