Default 1983 Honda Civic 1300 Weber Conversion??

I have read quite a bit on the Weber conversions and have for the most part only seen them on the 1500's(1.5l). On a Weber sales site it just lists the 3bbl and not the 2bbl. Can you guys please tell me once and for all if the 32/36 weber will work for the 1300 (1.3L)??? I need to know otherwise I will just buy a re-built for almost the same price.

I don't know 100% for sure, but did you ask on 1stgencivic.org? There are a lot of guys familiar with all the early E-series motors, and they could tell you for sure...

I have an 32/36 on my 84' and I'm not impressed. But in Redlines defense I haven't taking the time to play with the jetting, I'll get around to it sometime. Their not cheep if I remember right I gave something around 375.00 for the kit.

I actually have an 83 1500 I'm looking into the same thing. Are you building you 1300 or just trying to make it somewhat stock again. I am actually thinking of going with the 38/38 and try to beef up the motor.

The 38 is significantly better than the 32/36 in terms of power. It's hugely noticeable. The 32/36 is more of an economy carb, and isn't really much bigger than some of the stock Honda carbs I've seen.

I used the 38 and loved it, I would highly recommend it.

Not building just couldn't afford $1100 from Honda. They must be very proud of that carb for that kind of money.
