What up everyone.

For My 99' 2 Door Civc

I just bought a basic Yakima setup for a roofrack. The distance between croosbars is 16" inches. (not long enough to mount bike(s).)

I was trying to avoid buying the $130 "q-stretch kit" but it seems like I need it to mount the bike. I don't have a problem buying it, but the guys at REI ( where I got the rack ) didn't really answer my questions.

THE POINT: I can't tell by pictures where the REAR Q towers attach to

Does anyone have a clear picture or explanation of of it secures at the very end? And do I have to buy two more Q-Clips for the the mounting portion of the Stretch Kit.

From what I see it looks like the Rear Q Towers (obviously secured by the front and middle - q stretch kit -) just kinda sit securely at the end. Is this a correct assumption.

I attached sum pics. The 1st one is an examle of how far apart mine currently sit ( minus the left to right bars with the Yakima logo)
the 2nd is from yakima site includes my guess as to how it works and 3rd is what I ultimately want, but the picture isn't a close up of the REAR Q towes, so I can't tell.
