What can cause an alarm to set off false warnings?
DEI Automate is the make.
I don't want to repost my alarm information so here's a link:
https://honda-tech.com/forums/audio-security-video-27/if-your-good-car-alarms-i-need-your-help-thoughts-2599233/
I posted as much information as I could about the alarm in that post(5th) since I don't know its exact model.
Yesterday after programming a new remote to the alarm it was all working fine until the alarm decided to have an episode in the middle of a parking lot while I was driving and the killswitch engaged. I unplugged the alarms brain after it settled down and was able to start the car, I reinstalled the alarm later and it acted "normal" again. The alarm was left on all night and sat quietly until this morning when it started giving off the warning it usually does before the alarm is triggered and I have no idea what's causing it to do that. Sometimes it'll warn every now and then and sometimes it will warn every other minute. Any ideas? Could it be a bad sensor or faulty wiring? I'm not an alarm guy so I don't know what steps to take to figure this out...

does the alarm have a "proximity sensor" is a sensor able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. A proximity sensor often emits an electromagnetic or electrostatic field, or a beam of electromagnetic radiation if so its going out
or you have a bad ground or lose power that keeps losing connection if they are ok
your shock sensor is failing
so if you dont have a prox then check your power and ground make sure they have a good connection if they do then
your shock sensor is failing
good luck

I don't think it has a proximity sensor, but I don't know, I wasn't the one who had it installed.
I'll get right on checking the ground and power connections after the 4th.
Thanks

"I don't think it has a proximity sensor, but I don't know, I wasn't the one who had it installed." lol you would know
yea bro check your grounds

The grounds look fine. Weird thing is, it sits quietly through the night and evening but in the morning or at noon, especially morning, it sets off the warning chirp(s) at random times...so wtf?....
Could it have something to do with the time I programmed the new remote? Which was late morning/early noon time...
I've used the same brand with the same problem. For me it was heat that tripped the warnings every now and then. Randomly sent warnings when the car was sitting in the sun too long. Seemed to occur much less after turning down the sensitivity of the shock sensor. Hope it works out for you.
