94 Accord EX surges
Hi,
I've done a search and read through the many posts on the same subject but have been unable to find anyone that has solved the problem or posted that they had.
I have a 94 Accord EX, 5 speed manual, with 210,000 miles totally stock. The maintenance has been all kept up on the scheduled intervals including the timing belt.
The problem is under light throttle it surges, like you're stabbing the gas and then letting your foot off the pedal. It makes no difference if the car is cold or warm. If you step on it more the surging goes away and the same if you let up on it, it stops surging. It's only under light throttle and light load. I did a compression check and all cylinders were 180 plus or minus. The plugs look good as do the wires and the fluids are topped off. I replaced the rotor, cap as well as the TPS and it seems to have gotten slightly better but it's still there. The CEL isn't on and the car idles fine.
Where do I go next?

It certainly will not hurt to check them out. At that age of a car they are probably out of spec regardless.
I'd also check your throttle cable and maybe run some seafoam through the IM to see if there lies more gunk the original cleaning didn't get.
