and i highly doubt anyone from chicago would go to indiana to steal a sideskirt.....i think you should take the guys number off and delete this thread.....it sounds like your accusing him. "stolen sideskirt found on clist"? kinda sounds like your accusing him.

All 1996 to 2000 Honda Civic coupes and hatches in the world* came with exactly the same type of side skirts.
Now you might not have noticed, but a very large number of '96-'00 Civic coupes and hatches were sold in the US.
Chances are that side skirt has never touched your car.
Leave the guy alone. If that's all they took you're VERY lucky. I'd count it as a loss to the risk of owning a Honda. Replace your sideskirt and continue on with life.
* = Excluding Civic Type Rs, EM1s, and a few other trims and cars with optional packages.

Either way though, there's isn't a way to tell those are exactly your sideskirts. They're just not distinctive enough to prove anything.

like most people said....YOU OWN A HONDA CIVIC...which (if not #1) is one of the most stolen cars nationwide...and if it was someone who has been stealing cars, they would have had it no problem. and what are you trying to get to the bottom of? a ring of side skirt thieves...please...get lo-jack (and not some cheap shitty alarm) so your whole car doesn't get stolen because you obviously park the car in a VERY easily accessible place.

Tell them you are interested and go look at the side skirt. When you figure out it really wasn't yours, buy the damn thing and quit bitching. After you get home, realize how much it cost you in gas and time to drive to where it was for sale and do the math in your head. Figure out if it really would have been worth this guys while to drive to you, steal it, then drive back to Northbrook, IL (where the cell phone is registered). It's 180 miles round trip. You happen to be missing your passenger seat, a fender, a hood, and the brand new Eibach springs he's selling?

i got a vsm side skirt too. doesnt mean it yours. all of them look the same so this means every one that has a ek has your skirt you knw how stupid this sounds. its a skirt for crying out loud, people are getting their cars stolen. you think they care if a side skirt is stolen. i rather get my side skirt stolen then my car.

if you all would look at my original post in gdd you would c i was joking bout it
and i wasnt accusing just seeing if anyone knew the number of the person to be a suspected scammer
i also wasnt hating on people from chicago but it is kinda of an ugly truth
that chicago and surrounding areas do have a lot of stolen hondas/parts
just think though if it was your stuff you would be mad and complaining too....just saying
