Default 93 Accord EX No Start

Hey all, Im working on an 93 Accord EX this time. A friend came to me and wanted me to put a fuel pump in it. He had been rear-ended and the car just quit and hasnt started since. Now first I tested the pump to make sure it was getting power. The pump is getting power to it, but the fuel pump didnt run, I made sure as I stuck a hose in the fuel filler pipe and heard no sound, along with no fuel pressure at the rail.

Now I got the new fuel pump in and the car starts and immediately shuts off again. Im puzzled now becuase I have checked the main relay/ fuel pump relay for continuity and it tests good. Then I took the spark plugs out and 1 and 2 spark plug tubes were half full with oil. The plugs looked really burnt and I have check that each wire is getting fire to the spark plugs, it is. The distributer cap and rotor button look like hell too but they test ok as I have ohmed them both out. There was a sticky black substance under the distributor cap that I have no idea what it is. But its got spark and fuel and still no start.

I have checked all the topics on this site and I even have looked at the ground cable from the battery, and I am cleaning it now as it looked a bit corroded, but I am stuck here on this one.

Thanks

Well its actually a 92, sorry bout that, but no it doesnt idle at all. I cant even get my hand off the key when I turn it to start it and it dies. But I looked at the distributor cap and the button should be on a spring sorta deal, but I dont think the button is actually touching the rotor. So Im trying that in the morning, so hopefully I can get the thing running tomorrow.

yeah well you said theres spark right? check each wire for sparking, pull plugs and check to see if theres a strong fuel smell on them.

Even after cranking for a while I get a little fuel smell but nothing very strong. I read about the bearing in the distributor that has a TSB on it but I dont think that would make sense due to the fact that I do have spark on each of the spark plugs. Plus when I took the distributor out and looked at the bearing, it doesnt seem bad since the rotor for the Cam Sensor does not wiggle around or anything. These things dont have a theft sensor or anything like that does it? There is no theft light on the dash at all either, so I dont think it has it. Anyways I will get back to you once the new distributor gets here, Im afraid that wont do anything either though.
