PR3-something.

I have a PR3-3, friend had a PR3-2 I believe.

Hey everyone, doesn't the number after the dash refer to the factory?

is the b18c4 a version of the b18c5 or what?

the reason im asking is cuz my bro-in-law just bought a 00 si from an auction, and the head code on is is pr2. he has 2 other si's and they both have pr4 for the head code.

My 99 Si head is a PR3-3. The B16a head is the same casting as the ITR head.

type R in 97 and 98 USDM had pr3-3 and a "30" near the vtec solenoid. Honda later used the same head int he 99-00 civic si and 00-01 type R ... and **** got all mixed up so now there is no way to tell ...

Not true greg, PR3-X the X was random. My 97 head was not 3, was 4
Bottom line, the green paint is the only way to tell short of looking inside.

now you're telling me this I'm even more confused

All 3 of the R heads I pulled out of the 97-98 were pr3-3 and that 30 stamp, and I know for sure they were because the valvetrain and valves.... On the 2000/01 heads I noticed the same pr3-3, on same year b16 said pr3-3 with the 30 stamps but no inner springs on the exh. The green paint **** dont help, it comes off like dirt LOL so no telling what head it is

the 30 just means its a p30 cast, p30 = 92+ the older b16a heads had 3 stamped for pr3
