okay so here's the problem i have a valve ticking/tapping problem. i adjusted number 1 & 2 already..but when i got to 3 i couldn't adjust the intake side the adjuster screw would move left and right like the others would but wouldn't open more so i can stick the feeler gauge in. is this what they call sticky valves? or is the valve ****ed? thanks anyone!

 

also when i turn the crank by hand like when the cylinder number 3 is at TDC it gets hard and stuck are the valves dropped on the intake side then cuz the exhuast side was fine anyone?

 

well you dont adjust your valves in that order. its 1-3-4-2. also make sure you remove the spark plugs when you do it, or else it gets harder as you crank more and more.

 

yes i did do it in that order...i adjusted them all. forget the i couldnt do number 3. cuz i kept on hand cranking it a few times around and it eventually loosen up? maybe sticky valves i don't know...and it was stilll tapping? i used 0.006" on intake and 0.007" on exhuast side...still tapping even worse now!...right when my friend started the car i heard it tapping then told him to turn it off..and also after i adjusted all the valves..and i hand cranked it before i started it. it was making like a gushing air noise...i don't know...just stuck now tired of touching it....
