1999 Accord DX 2dr rear squeak suspension
Did a search for 'squeak' and didn't see this one.
I have a squeak in the right rear suspension area. Near as I can tell its coming from the upper part of the suspension and I strongly suspect its the actual shock mount at the top, perhaps the rubber is worn/collapsed.
I tried placing my hand on the rod and gently pulling down on the car to feel for any vibration in the rod in an attempt to isolate the sound. I'm reasonably sure its not the damper in any way.
Part number for the shock mount?
Steps to take for changing it out?
I figure its a simple matter of hanging that wheel assembly (ie needing only the usual basic hand tools and a lfit jack), removing the trunk trim from that area, undoing the top mount and swapping in the new part.
thanks

Na you didn't stump the board. It's just that these sorts of things are easily found if you had done a search. FAQ's has a list of web sites for parts and there is also Google. If you had of used ether of these search tools you wouldn't have had to wait five days for your answer.
Go to hondapartsdeals.com and select your make model and year.

As for how to replace the strut mount. You should try and pick up a Helms manual for your car. If that is out of your price range a Haynes manual should suffice for this type of job. If your going to try to be a DIY mechanic you should invest in a good manual first.
