honestly megans are made by bor chuan in tiawan.. along with bc, some functions, and a few other larger names, they are not that bad but they are in a general catergory. ohh btw your buddy clubs, made in the same factory with some of the same parts as the megans..
As someone that autoX's and track days their car, they are total crap. Here is why...
1) spring rates....for the ep3 the megans are 440lb ft and 550lb r, for the dc5 they are 550lb ft and 660lbs r......the motion ratios of the suspension are .91 in the front and .59 in the rear. What that means is the front is much more stiffly sprung than the rear, this = lots uf understeer....
2) the damping is a mess, the ***** are not even close to being equel in adjustment. Have you even noticed that koni's are sold in matched pairs? There is a reason for that....all of that crap from china/tiawan looks like total crap when you hang them on a shock dyno.
3) the buddy clubs have spring rates that are ok for racing slicks but anything under that grip level will handle like crap....again, tires set your spring rates, spring rates set you damping .....
99% of the coilover kits out there are tuned for lots of understeer and this is the last thing you want with a fwd car. If you want your car to handle well, you have to go custom spring rates...but most of the people on this forum would the horrified by how a properly set up car drives.....

Thread has been officially jacked and is now a Megan coilover debate
So how does a properly set up car handle compared to boy racer OP w/ his Megan coilovers slammed to the lowest setting?

While you are debating the coil overs can someone provide insight on my issue with a 94 lude. I previously had a 89 si and it handled excellent. When I got the 94 lude the camber in the back went inward toward the top. None of the parts looked bad and the height looked about right. I installed a camber kit at the bolt locations then had an alignment done. The camber was dialed in to nominal but the toe was just at the edge of being out. The car still has lots of sway to it when turning. Any suggestions would be great.
