ok, about white face guages. I need some help. pissing me off
I have a 92 civic hatch. I haev white face guages. can someone help me to do this. please. I took the 2 screws from underneath the top dash. thats all I see. I was hooping it would pop off, tried screw drivers, didn't work. I don't want to break anything. I did try to pop it off kinda hard. but i knows theres a hint. People who have done this already, please help me out. thanx.
i totaly understand. thanx a bunch. I put a gsr motor in my civic in 1 might, but for the life of me I can't get the damn dash apart. hahaha
they don't freaken fit. I have a 92 VX hatch. I bought 92-95 ex manual guages. I guess I got the wrong ones, but these guages were the only guages that looked right (having the tach, temp ans gas guage on 1 side) Can someone help me on teh right ones to get. I know I need VX guages. but will any other guages work? or does anyone know where I can find vx guages?
but anyway, im selling brand new 92-95 EX manual transmission white face guages!

well, my stock tach starts at 0 horizontal. but my guages I bought start on a lower angle. And the gas/temp guage is right in the middle, my stock guages are a little on the top side. Am I supposed to take off the stock guages? The directions say to just put them over my stock guages. but that won't work. please help.
and the pic you posted, what was that? I just saw 1 pic of the front of a white hatch. I was hopping to see the guages. oh well.

You are not supposed to take off the stock gauges however there are screws that can come of both the tach and the mph gauge that helps secure the new white faces. The gas and temp pretty much just hang there and becomes locked in when you put back on the cover.. Make sure that your needles have free movement, it sounds to me like they are just getting stuck..
Ok. I really don't have the right guages. They fit over the needles just fine. Its just that even when I put the tach guages over my stock guage, the numbers are off. And by off I mean if I line up 0 on teh guages, and look at 8 rpm, the white face guages are like 2 inches off. very weird. The guages I bought are different. but people still say that have them fit on their vx??? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I think im just going to sell them. Too much pain
Dunno why you are having problems. I have a vx automatic tach and used the manual reverse indiglos from a ex/si without any fitment problems or numbers being off. But maybe you got a bad set.. I dunno..
but your using aoutmotic guages. maybe its different. I have manual guages. probably different.
pop the entire hazard light switch out - dosconn the clip for the power and then you have to release 5 or 6 spring clips all around the display to release it from the dash -
No you misundertand. The gauge cluster is automotic from a vx however the gauges are from a manual ex/si. And they still fit fine so I should see why yours arent..

ok, i looked into it. stupid thing. i got wrong guages. it says 92-95 ex on the box, but I looked at a 96-00 guage cluter, and they are abvously ment for those. someone screwed up.
