Problem with Fuel. its not turning on?
k so my friend has my brothers old b20vtec wagon.
few days ago he went to pick up his mom from work. as he pulled out his car died on the streets. he gives me a call asking to get him gas since his gas thing on his cluster is jammed. so he thinks hes on E. i get him gas and still the car doesnt start.
he gets the car towed home. we swapped main relays to see if thats the problem. no. we also swapped his dizzy since he had dizzy problems before too. no.
is there a fuel relay somewhere??
now we had him turn the car to "on" position and had my ear on the silver cover under the back seat..we did not hear it turn on at all..
could it be the pump??
people say you have to drop the tank to access the fuel pump..then whats the pump underneath the silver cover? i remember we put a walbro fuel pump in my friends turbo EK through that silver cover from the back seat..
any ideas would help thanks.
also looking into the walbro 255lhp fuel pump if thats what it is.

If you put in a known good main relay and you still don't hear the pump prime the pump may have died on you. You do have to drop the tank on a ef to access the fuel pump, they didn't make them accessible through the floor under the backseat until 92. Take the feed line to the fuel filter loose put it in a bowl or something and turn on the key to see if the pump is priming. It may be weak and thats why you can't hear it. If it does prime but very weakly it may be a clogged strainer on the pump. Or check voltage at the silver cover under the backseat, if you got juice there its probably the pump. If not then you have to trace back and figure out why its not getting power. I went through a very similar situation when i got my sedan and it turned out to be the pump was bad and tank was rusted inside, pic of the pump below.
