Okai So I have keyless entry on my Si...
And Ive seen everyone do this on their ek's.. But I keep hearing that the mounting locations dont line up for the eg's...
Has anyone ever done this swap? I was literally on my way to go pick up some sedan keyless handles..
If anyone has any tips or ideas on how to do this let me know.
BTW I searched for an hour trying to find any info and all i found is that they mount differently.

If anyone confirms that they arnt different then id be a happy camper..

they ARE indeed different, i got some 4dr handles recently and only 1 bolt lines up, in my ej1...

 

did you end up finding a way to get them to work????

 

i messed with them for a day, then i got fed up. its only off by a lil but u would have to make a custom bracket. to much work, and besides u could probably just rip the handle right out. id rather not let my ride get stolen just to not have keyholes; but if i saw someone else pull it off i guess ill try again, plus one of the handles i got was broke...

I've thought about doing this on my sol (uses same handles as EG).

no they dont work, i already confirmed this. i tried this on my ej1 and a eh3...

like i stated, they will work if u want to fab up a bracket. other then that theres no way to get the other bolt to line up...

thats wierd that its diff. for the eg..on my ek i have those style door handles and they fit perfectly

 

Use sheet metal and weld...this is the only clean way, if you are going use the sedan rear handles.

 

I had sedan handles on my del Sol...got it like that. They seemed to fit fine, never had any problems with them feeling flimsy or anything like that. So I guess they work on Sol's...I know that doesn't help with your EG hatch situation though.

 

Hmmm I have a sol and a hatch maybe I will check the handle and see if the bolt patterns are the same..
Or maybe who ever had your sol before you fabbed them up nicely

 

I did this on my sedan. The rear handles (the ones with no keyholes) have different mounting points than the front handles - you will need to fabricate some kind of bracket.

 

So rear 4 door handles on an EK will fit the fronts? If so, great !

 

Sure do!!! Now... if only they worked on our eg's... Im gonna head to the junk yard tomorrow and see what I can fab up..
