Default Ready to start my K20 Swap...

Ok...I read the FAQ's write up on this and I am in the process of getting everything together, but I still have a few questions on my mind. As for the need for a custom exhaust and header...I have the Apex'i GT Spec still in the box (for the Rsx), I was wondering if it would be possible to modify that to fit the Eg...And if so, anyone know of a good trustworthy shop in the tri-state area to get this done at (as well as the header). Second question is, any tips to make this swap easier on myself. Thanks for the help.

I agree..OP if you do decide to do a DIY on your K-series swap..be sure to take lots of pictures..cause a DIY is worthless without pics

I have no idea how far I am from Pittsburgh, I'de guess a couple of hours. Not really sure. I'm definitely interested in the header if you can get me some more info on the price and shipping.

I'll try to take as many pics as possible on this project. I'm going to try and get all the body and paint work done this fall, so I can hopefully start on the swap sometime this winter break, maybe earlier.

Any issues with the stock axles with the K swaps? And what kind of stand alone will be best with this. From what I understand KPro isn't compatible with the swap.

Some quick questions...
Are any parts from the '92-'95 Cpe compatible with the sedan as well(headlamps, tails, corner lights, exhaust, seats, mirrors, suspension components, front lip and ft bumper...)
Any good sites for sourcing parts for these cars? (i.e. clubrsx,etc...)
I got a 5 speed sedan, I noticed that there i no RPM gauge in the cluster. Is this normal for the sedans? Or do I have a car that was originally a AT transmission? And has any one swapped in another cluster with the RPM gauge, and if so from what model and trim.

Yeahhh man. But I'm taking the a2 out of the RSX and (hopefully) putting it in the Civic. The I'll be saving up for a K24 swap for the RSX. If I don't end up using the K20 in the Civic, I'll probably sell it then go B series. First comes the bodywork though. Should finish that up sometime around December or January. I will try to get some pics up of the car as it stands now.

Where do you work to afford a k20 swap? I hate working minimum wage/part time! Doesn't it cost like an average of 9k for a full K20 swap?

I make a descent amount of cash...lol. I already have the engine. That's the most costly part. But I still have to save for the K24 after I get the k20a2 into the Civic. Civic is first, then I'll garage the Acura until I can get that project going.

What car are you trying to put the K20 into?

Also, how does a 15x7.5 with a +40 offset sound as far as wheels go.

Go 16" 15 is too small and 17 is too big, 16 is perfect IMO.

Im not positive but I think it wont work with that offset. I think it would have to be lower of an offset (a bigger lip and it would stick out from the car) to fit

This swap is like doing a B swap, just need to cut the tunnel where your shifter is to put the shifter box and adjusting the transmission cables is possibly the hardest part. That's about the hardest thing to do as nowadays you have conversion harness for an almost plug n play swap, a couple of years ago it was unheard of. lol

Also swap part are really expensive I wish someone would replicate all the mounts and harness as they already made a replica header which I will be ordering soon, because I think it should be the same price as any other mounts and wire harnesses nothing makes these things more special than B/H setups. Damn price gouging companies items because its a new thing.. but it takes the same amount of material/time to make them the products.

I can get legit k20a2 USDM motor, trans, ecu, harness, immobilizer everything for $1600. Yet the conversion parts surpass the cost of the main stuff needed. Ridiculous.
