Default AWD EF

I really want to do a AWD EF. i know its been done before, but i don't know
much about it.

Could any one give me some information on what Parts i need, Mainly Which Transmission to look for, and Which Motor(s) would bolt up to that transmission?

Thanks

the trans from an rtawd ef wagon, the rear end completely including the swing arms and drums/disks, the shift linkage, and the cv axles.

can any one chime in about the clutch match up and the cv axle match up plz??

oh! and also the drive shaft as well!!

you will also have to most likely cut your old sing arms and mate them with the new ones from the wagon and make your housing for the differential

you can use any d series engine but if you go b series you will have to use an awd crv tranny driveshaft, cut the end of it off of the driveshaft and match the d series end to the b series shaft so you could have a b to d conversion and use the d series rear or just stay b series and use the b series rear. either way a custom support bracket is needed to be constructed

Thank you, you answered my question perfectly!

Right now i actually have a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse that i am rebuilding the 4g63 motor, and once its built I'm going to sell it and get a Honda again because I miss my EF hatch.

about 2 years ago a guy in the 92-00 civic forum did an awd swap from a crv. it was pretty costly from what i remember. and lots of cutting, welding, measuring, and just plain fabrication work. if your willing to dump the cash into a project like that, it might be worth it.

there's a few links. might let you in on some of the work you have ahead of you.

Its always by a freaking new member who don't know how to do ****. Sorry the search sucks on here the old h-t used to be better hince why I never joined just sat back and read **** and saved stuff then it changed and I had to join. But here it is:

Oh yea by the way they are pushing 400 hp and no problems so f the b series this will walk most b series builds and be alot cheaper then trying to do a awd b swap. Both of these options I highly doubt you will ever do its nice just to dream and drool.

No you haven't. This gets talked about weekly.

This won't work. CRV and Civic rear dif ratio's are different, amongst other things that are vague about the statement.

But really:
