Default After a year of hibernation.

I worked on the R for the first time in about a year today. I don't insure the car while I'm at school so she sat in the garage for the last year. I had been meaning to take the faded window tint off for a while, and after reading some how-to's I figured I would give it a shot. Never again. The passenger side door came off great, the driver's door wasn't bad, and the quarter glass and rear were a pain in the ***. Lots of scrubbing to remove the glue. Worth it though. I saved my, recentgraduate aka unemployed, self some money and I think she looks nice without the tint. I'm not really worried about the seats fading as I don't drive the car often, let alone sit outside very long.

Also included a pic of my GS-R DD I got a year or so ago after getting rid of my near mint JRSC 91 Civic Wagon, which I regret selling everyday. Just wanted to chime in as the ITR forum has been pretty slow lately. Carry on.

They both look really clean. Side shot of the R would have been nice.

I added the only decent side shot of the R I took today. I just snapped a few pics while I was doing work.

It definitely wasn't me at the meet. I've actually never been to a car meet of any type without there being a HPDE or something, ITR Expo's for example. I never really had time with school, but wouldn't mind getting the car out there now.

Glad you guys like the cars. To those who don't know I've had the R for 6-7 years now. Doesn't seem that long. She's up to 56,xxx miles and running great. Going to spend a few more days cleaning her up and fixing a few things before getting her back on the road out of storage.

looks nice, but i dont understand why people buy such beautiful cars and leave them in the garage. Maybe because i cant help but drive mine all the time. I get that itch and everytime i look at her she calls on me to drive her!!

Well if you look he's in VA which might explain why the car is seasonal. He also described that he's in school so maybe he doesn't go to school locally.

They're Esses Speedmasters, 15x7, 38mm offset. Not the lightest, but I got a smokin' deal on them a few years ago.

Looks well preserved! Hopefully you still carry comprehensive while she sits. Heard of too many taken from garages to do that myself. Both cars look well kept! Keep em' clean.

I started some serious cleaning today, taking the bumpers and side skirts off to clean behind and underneath them. I noticed a bit of rust on the front bumper support. Anyone know of anything I can put on it to keep it from worsening. I'm sure it's not a big deal, but I might as well while I have the bumpers off.

You keep your cars VERY clean mang. Nice job!

Yeah, that rusting on the bumper is unavoidable it seems. Your is some of the lightest I've seen.

Ryan they make a spray that stops rust, but I think it has color (black?). You can get it at Lowe's or Home Depot.

I saw someone on here pull their bumpers and paint the whole underside of their caR with that stuff. Forgot what it was called. Do a search on rust and you'll probably find it.
