help installing Hid front end teg?
Hey. I am installing a jdm itr front end on my 96 gs teg. Though i cant get the passenger side headlight in because the abs pump/motor is getting in the way.
Is there a hid kit with the ballast that work for the bulb?
Or is the only way to pull the abs ?
plz help thanks

you could get ebay hid kit for the d2c or the d2r. but unsure if getting another set of hid will help with the fitment of the headlights. heres a lionk that might help.

Unbolt the pump and slowly bend it sideways. Be very careful not to bend brake lines. I had a new custom mount made to hold it. I think you may have to bend the fitting on the ac line too. Cant rememeber.
For the right side, I've been running a hella ballast off a bmw for three years, w/ no problems. For me, it's not worth bending the lines because everything looks crooked. Just my 2 cents.

Can you not just take off the OEM ballast and mount it somewhere else? You might have to extend some wires or something.
Just don't try to "bolt on" that front end like the guy in the linked thread above did. That is a great way to bend/twist the frame of the car. Bolted connections can move/rotate. Welded connections cannot.

Yes please weld! Was jacking up a dc2 wit front clip from the tow hooks once and the radiator support moved bout 2 inches and the car didnt move at all. As far as the lins you can make a custom bracket to hold the pump. No one can even tell the difference. You can not extend the balast and relocate it. It actually bolts directly to the housing and seals the back of it. The most practical way is to bend the lines, but be very careful not to kink them. Or if that bugs you you can convert to a rs wit no abs but its not worth it.
