Has anyone had any problem with this Clutch pedal lock security..i read up in this forum an article that thieves can still Jack your car with it..? I had mine for 2 months and thats all it lasted me? i was thinknig on buying another one but i had another idea. I was thinking on picking up a NRG quick Release. Is there a good or Bad response on them? I think it will be harder for some one to steal my car with a quick release?

i read that they bend the pedal or something along those lines on one thread a while back because the thief doesnt care about damaging it since its not theirs. i would get an nrg quick release and be sure to get the hub lock as well that way they dont just throw on their own steering wheel.

 

Yeah thats what i read, that they will bend the clutch pedal...so if i dont get the key lock on the quick release, someone with any quick release steering wheel can take off with my car?

 

get an alarm. nrg qr lock i`ve read here has been taken off by a thief. not a bad layer though. if not w/o the lock, they can just take off the hub and drive with vise grips lol

 

yeah, most quick release kits are universal so they can just throw their own steering wheel on there and be gone with it. dont just depend on that hub lock though, a false sense of security can often be your downfall. oh and by the way try using vice grips with the car having no power steering, not an easy task

 

none of that will stop someone from using a flat bed or toe truck.....
