Hey guys about a mouth and a half ago i bought a Magnaflow exhaust 2.5" It was welded on to a 2.25 or 2" piping.. not sure. Now someone told me it takes a while to break in the muffler. and another thing i am having a problem with is that i keeep getting pulled over for a deep toned exhaust. It sounds like an Wrx sti when it accelerates... My motor is an 2000 LS motor.. I bought that muffler thinking it would be pretty quiet and not rice burner muffler... is there n e thing i can do

 

Go with the 2.5'' piping. I have a magn muffler and 2.5'' piping and my exhaust sounds like a stock car but deep.

 

Maybe don't rev so high:p, I have the same one and I live in cali.

 

did you redo the whole exhaust system ? if so, did you add a resonator as well ? you could also add a twin loop exhaust.
