Default Help Quick: Cutting the crossmember 4, hacksaw??? hammer???

I need about 1 1/2" - 2" to be cut/beaten out of my cross member in order for my DP to fit. What can I use to do this w/o having to drop the freaking thing? Will a hacksaw cut it, and would you guys recommend it?

Use a saws-all/reciprocating saw, works great on metal and it's electric....

you might be able to get away with a dremel also with the heavy duty cutting wheels.i used one to cut through part of the radiator support area.
