Default GS-R tranny squeals

Hi guys, first time in the forum.

I have a civic with L/S-Vtec engine and GS-R tranny, two weeks ago the tranny start make a squeal noise in neutral. It's feel coming from the bell housing, like metal to metal squeal, like the sound maded by the bronze disc when you start in first, but all time in neutral. No matter the clutch it's pressed or depressed, the squeal still. My pals says the pressure plate is
gone and the disc it's making the noise. The tranny get new bearings two
months ago. I build this engine year and half ago and never use pilot bearing
so this is'nt the problem and the throw out bearing look and sound good. Any advice will be apreciate.

Thanks

Sounds like your friend is right, pressure plate is going bad. Is the car slipping or not going into gear?

It's going in gaer easy, and no feel any sliping. Last week i prove it with my friend, no
hard launch, but 2cnd and 3rd hard whit the nos, the car still shirping the tires to 3rd
and good jump in fourth. But i note a heavy wear in the plate diaphragm.

I would take the trans off and get a good look at everything. Are you trying to diagnose this so you can order the parts and save time? You might have to find another way around for a few days while you fix this... I would get it repaired before something else gets damaged.

Sounds like the pressure plate. A friend of mine had a similar problem and it was a messed up presure plate fork.

yes highly recomended, everything has a purpose, and don't skimp on the smallest things, because it might cause a big problem later.

Absolutely install the pilot bearing. It's there for a reason.

That squeling is the pilot bearing or lack there of. It is a important peice. Helps hold the tranny and crank tightly in place. The act kit will come wit the pilot bearing.
