Default Why does my civic idle at 2000rpms and then after 5 minutes almost stalls out

I have a 95 civic with a d16y7 block and d16y7 head.

The car was idles at 1800-2200 rpms and it will stay constant at that rpm. The car will then bog down and either almost stall out or stall out.

The car is in neutral and the same thing happens whether the clutch is depressed or not.

I have already taken off the IAC and cleaned it as well as the FITV and both were dirty. After I cleaned the IAC part of the problem went away where the car idle would go up and down up and down but now the cars idle just dips once and either almost stalls out or it doesnt and it just returns to 2000rpms.

I'm thinking it is the TPS at this point and the car currently has no codes.

Any help would be greatly appeciated!

When the engine is hot, pull off the air intake and, with the engine idling, use your finger to cover the port in the throttle body leading to the FITV. Do you feel any suction? Does the idle speed drop to normal? If so, the FITV needs to be adjusted or replaced.

I agree with Ronj@ht. FITV is at fault, heres a link if you need it.

The FITV is fine, I cleaned the FITV port and the FITV. I'm not sure where to go next i'm thinking coolant temp sensor or tps sensor.

The MAP and TPS plugs are not mixed up but I am retarded I think.

I'm 99% sure now that it is the IACV because the hissing from the IACV port is rediculously loud and the car is idling at 1800 rpms now and then after 5 mintues just bogs down and shuts off when the car warms up.

I need to find an IACV first but that is my next step. I think the plunger is stuck open because i've already cleaned it three times.

Did you test the FITV port in the throttle for leakage as I mentioned in my previous post?
