2004 cbr1000rr wont start
just replaced the battery on the bike, started up, everything was fine. took it on a ride noticed that the headlights went out and the high beam indicator on the dash went out, turned off the bike and now it wont start. still gets power to everything except the headlight and wont even crank. bump started it and everything seems to work but the head light/high beam. checked 2 fuses by the battery they are ok. dont know whats wrong, please help
your new battery could be at fault, or it could be that its not getting charged by the bike for some reason.
if the battery voltage is below 12.3 volts, then the above is more than likely the problem.
i can PM you a link to a handy diagnostic chart/process if you like

The fuses next to battery are the main and FI fuses, theres more fuses behind the mid fairing on the left of the bike.
but if a fuse is blown, what could have caused it.

forgot about those fuses. but yea what caused it (if it's one of those fuses)? it wasn't when the battery was installed cause everything worked, it happen sometime while I was riding. no wires were pinched, I'm completely confused as to what happen. I'll check the fuses under the left mid cowel tomorrow, will post my findings.
