ecu code 14 i believe quick question.
i have a long blink and then 4 short blinks and i believe that is code 14 now that is idle air control or something of that sort. anyone know how to fix this?
It is not code 14 (EACV).. if it were code 14 there would be 14 short flashes in a row... Whats the diagnosis of your problem? From what you described you are throwing code 4 (crank angle sensor) Usually, the result of this the car will run a little rough. It will misfire and the car will "jolt" at a set RPM.
The crank angle sensor is located inside the distributor, followed by 12 color coded wires externally. This is a common problem, had to replace mine 3 times. Sometimes its just the wiring, or the harness itself, or the distributor housing itself.
