tire size question
so i have a set of 15's on my g/f's car, and we're thinking of selling the car but wanna throw the rims on our hatch and because they have brand new tread on them. the tires size is 195 55 r15. is this going to be too big? the car is lower than stock, but by no means is slammed. dropped maybe an inch.
thanks!!
thanks!!
Depends on the offset, but if it's high offset it should be enough to clear you might be scraping the wheel well lip if it's a lower offset.
I scrape on 195/60/14s with a 2 finger gap all around. wheels have an offset of 30.
What's the specs of the wheels?

They'll install just fine, but whether they'll scrape and rub or not will depend on several factors (roll stiffness, offset, etc.). Chances are that they'll be just fine; I've run a number of sets of 195/55, 205/50, and 225/45 15-inch tires on my EFs with no issues.
It's extremely easy to swap on a set of wheels and takes less than 15 minutes. Try it. It's the only way you'll know for certain.
