Default problems after mini-me swap

Ok guys i dont know jack about hondas but i have quite a bit of knowlege when it comes to cars. I just did a mini-me on my GF's 98 civic DX. I installed the Y8 head and manifold and bought a 97 EX ECU. I re-pinned A14 to A12 and dis connected A13. I as well soldered the wires to the new 2 prong IACV harness and disregarded the orange wire.

I am throwing 2 codes 1259 and 1509.

The car barely idles and wont drive at all. It will take a whole block to get to 30mph.

please guys i really need help. thank you in advance

ok so i got rid of the P1259 V-TEC code and all i have left is the P1509 IACV circuit fault 2. I know that it is not the timing because i will get that code if i turn the ignition on without even starting it. Anyone have any ideas?

How does it idle? Have you checked the integrity of the wiring?

A IAC code means there is an open or short in the circuit or the idle speed is out of range which would most likely mean an air leak, and the iac is all the way out because the engine is tryin to bring the idle back down...

Still i dont see how this code would effect non idle problems....

Also, I'm curious as to how you fixed the vtec code? Im assuminga wiring issue? Although it could be oiling issue or the rocker assembly....

Also, did you actually install the knock sensor or just fool the ecu? Im not sure the range on the ecu's ignition retard, but a severely retarded ignition would definitely affect your drivability. I would check the voltage reading out of the knock sensor aswell!
