It looks to be cut from the original harness and had a black wire running into the car for some reason?

I pulled the black wire out but dk where it went...maybe to the underdash fusebox i think

Anyway what is that going too?

 

I think that wire sends feedback on Engine Temp for the Gauge on your Cluster. Not positive though.

 

Ohh its off a D16z6...sure its similar on most motors though.


That could be right, i think the guy said somethin about the temp not working but it doesnt overheat or what not.

I see the orig. wire just right by it might try to splice it in and see what happens.

I dont drive it at the moment so no biggie really.

 

Well to see if that wire is indeed for the Engine Temp gauge. Run the car and let it get hot..or let the temp needle come up a bit. Reach in at the Head and unplug that wire and then turn igniton back to slot II and see if the gauge reads..if it doesn't read at all you know for sure thats what its for.

I am pretty sure thats what that is though.

 

To find out, If the gauge works cut the wire if it goes off then reconnect it, its already been spliced in anyways.
