Y8 IM on Z6
to change out my Z6 IM to the Y8 all i need is the IM itself and the Y8 fuel rail, since it has a different bolt up pattern? then i could us my Z6 injectors and everything else...
You will need the fpr along with the fuel rail or drill holes in your z6 fuel to bolt it down. You will also need the throttle cable bracket, because the z6 would not fit (i've tried), only one bolt will bolt up to it. Also the iat sensor will need to be put somewhere, my friend put his in a tube and tighten a clamp around it and plugged the other end of the tube on the purge valve to close it up.

Theres no place to put the IAT sensor on the IM, you could extend the wire and mount it on your intake arm, but my friend did was put it in a small hose, sealed it up with silicone and plugged up the 3/8 nipple, thats for the purge valve, which your going to need to plug up anyways.

yea i know, id just rather not drill. i just wanted to know if i just need the y8 fuel rail and fpr, then i would be able to just swap over my z6 injectors and wiring?
ok cool, thanks for the info... and when using my injectors i dont need to fab up any wiring? or just plug up the z6 injectors right? like the wires that go to the injectors, use the z6. i have no idea about this kind of stuff.

You could use the your z6 injectors. My friend just plugged them in, if the o rings are too small get some thicker ones. If you want to use the y8 injectors, you would have to re wire each injector, but shouldnt be that hard seeing that each one has only two wires. GL
