good friend

sorry, I'm not sure of how much of a gain you'll yield but let us know.

Im interested in knowing the results. Can you feel any difference with your "butt dyno"?

The thinner head gasket has retarded your cams 1.5-2.0 degrees...just thought that I'd make you aware of that...

Austin - who has the same thing on his car

So, in other words, a thinner head gasket is useless without cam gears and tuning?

I did hear that cam gears help to tune the whole thing...but the compression ratio will still go up and should give some power...if i had the money for the cam gears now id get them also and spend a lil time on the dyno to tune...

dont you have to resurface the head when putting a thinner head gasket on?

What he is saying is that by installing your thinner headgasket. Your cams are retarded by 1.5-2 degrees. The small gain from the minor increase in compression will be negated because the cams are "off". So until you get cam gears don't be dissapointed.

Maybe...maybe not, all depends upon how your motor like the cams.
