Default GSR burns oil

hey, so i just replaced all of the gaskets and valve seals on my b18c1 thinking that it would make it stop burning oil, well i was wrong. It still is burning oil/coolant (whitish blue smoke out exhaust), I am wondering whether it just takes awhile to flush out all the oil i used to lube the valve seals during installation and all the leftover burnt oil down the exhaust piping, or if it is something else completely?

Have you done a compression test?

It sounds like it may be a headgasket if oil and coolant are both withdrawing. Maybe pistons rings but probably not since you're losing coolant

how's your compression and did you replace your rings, cuz they might be the cause.

When I blew up my turbo all the oil and coolant went straight to my exhaust. So check your compression and let your car run. as long as it dont overheat.

Do a compression test then start from there.

the compression on a b18c1 needs to be 140-280psi with a max variation of 28 psi if the car fails the test new rings.

the compression on the cylinders going from left to right is 190, 186, 185, 183, so i dont think it would be piston rings, however i dont have a catalytic converter could that be why smoke is coming out the exhaust???

compression rings wont tell you the condition of the OIL CONTROL RINGS which is most likely your issue as with most oil burning honda engines

do you think OEM piston rings would be ok (13011-PR3-003 on http://www.acuraoemparts.com) or should i get aftermarket ones? also do you have replace the piston pin once you pull it out?

If you are gonna go through all the trouble of doin the rings if ya have the cash and time you can also get the block resurfaced and honed. As you put miles on the motor it puts wear at the bottom of sleeves and can cause a oval shape. It is not mandatory but like I said if ya have the time and money it is a good idea.
