so my mechanic told me that i can use motor oil on my tranny i know that sounded strange so i just had to ask has anybody ever done it

Personally, I would ONLY use it at a temporary get by.

Just go and buy Honda MTF for it.

 

Wouldn't want to risk get Honda MTF FTW

 

Honda manual says you can sub it for MTF, so I've got no problems with it.

 

Please search & Browse the [faq] stickied at the top of the forum.

It would be fine, but if you have the money I recommend Honda MTF or GM synchromesh or pennzoil synchromesh which can be found at autozone.
