b20 mates with b18
i have a b18b thats no longer good block wise. my question is if i can get a b20 block from a crv and put my b18b head on it and use my original wiring harness with the b20 block and my ecu. is it plug and play? will it work? i have a 94 integra ls, head, wiring harness, and ecu.
cool. how will this hybrid increase compression though? both the b18 and b20 have the same 9.2:1 compression right? it also seems that the b20 makes less power and has a lower redline of almost a 1500 rpm difference. whats the deal?
Look up the combustion chamber volume for the heads or use the c-speed compression calculator to determine your CR. The LS and b20 blocks are practically identical besides the bore, so I don't know why the redline would be different. I built a b20vtec that revs to 8k and I had no problems.
